Superintendent - Richland School District Two

The Board expects to offer a competitive compensation package with a salary in the range of $200,000. Benefits and an incentive plan will also be provided. The salary will be negotiable based upon the candidate's qualifications and experience. The new superintendent will officially assume this position on July 1, 2010.
The Richland School District Two Board of Trustees is seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as superintendent of its approximately 25,000 student school system. Richland Two is a highly respected and progressive suburban school district serving the rapidly growing northeastern section of Richland County. Columbia, where many of Richland Two's schools are located, is a growing professional metropolitan city and the state's capital. Richland Two is located in close proximity to major interstates with easy access to a number of locations. The Blue Ridge mountains are within a two hour drive and the South Carolina coast can be reached in less than three hours. The Board seeks and welcomes applications from all qualified persons. The Board of Trustees seeks an educational leader who is a creative and dynamic systematic thinker who understands complex, growing organizations and transformational needs and processes. The successful candidate will be an instructional leader, people focused, an insightful manager, and a visionary servant leader. Finalists may be asked to return for a second interview. As part of the selection process, the Board may make a site visit to the home community of the final candidates.
