General Statement of Job: Under limited supervision is responsible for the planning, implementing, directing, and administering of the Alternative Education and other programs related to students determined to be at-risk; serving as a resource on curriculum and program operations to school personnel, the Board, and other districts; and maintaining staffing to ensure that the program objectives are achieved within budget. Directs and promotes adult education throughout the district by maintaining effective communication and working relationships with all stakeholders. Provides effective administrative leadership and management skills necessary to maximize the efforts of teachers and students in an environment which is conducive to educational enhancement, growth and achievement for students; directs all daily operations of the school campus; supervises and coordinates the work of all assigned professional and classified personnel; ensures subordinates' adherence to District policies, regulations and goals. Reports to the Superintendent.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Requires a Master’s degree in education administration supplemented by at three to four years of teaching and administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess valid Teacher and Principal certificates from the S.C. State Board of Education. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
